Macro with out a photo editor

When i was out walking around my house to day and saw how much the rain had helped my plants i could not help but take some photos of them.  I had been using a photo editor to help my pictures look a little nice but i have run out of my trail so I have no choice put to post the photos as shot so I hope you all still think they look nice.   These were all taken with a manual macro.

Beer and some simple pics

This was the best drink I have had all weekend, after my 10K run Schlafly summer ale was great.  Thanks to my great wife she got me a six pack.  I thought it might need to be shown so that you all can see.  I did take some real photos of some of the plants that my mother planted for us so i will post those tonight too.  they maybe some that you have seen before but they are still great photos.  There is one of the new rose we planted that is just simply new growth it is just a nice looking photo of something simple.

Around the house

I was just walking around our gardens and potted plants and noticed these flowers and wanted to try using my manual macro lenses to get these cool pictures.  I am always amazed by the plants and flower that are just out and around my own home.  I think putting on the macro lenses give me a cool picture of a part of a hole that you might not always see.

Admirastion

Last night sitting around the patio table with friends I started to think what my grandfather would think of my photos,  I would like to think he would enjoy seeing my perspective on things around the house and out in the gardens.  When i think of all the pictures that he took on film would he like the new digital cameras and the editing software that you can use to make images look a little or a lot different.  Knowing that he took wedding photographies all on film with no way to view what he took or any digital way to edit them i admire him more and more.  I have not touched this photo but since this has been a weekend of remembering those who are in the armed forces and family that have left us I thought the flag would be a great image.  I know it is nothing fancy but I feel that it is fitting.

overland park arboretum

I have never had a blog so if there are typos just over look them please.

Today Sarah and I went to the Overland Park Arboretum we had a great time, took tons of pictures with my new camera.  Been messing around with all my old manual lenses trying to get some great up close photos. Ever since I read part of 48 days to the work you love I realized that I have wanted to do more with what i love to do which is take photos and set some goal for my photos.   I have been wanting to get my pictures out there on the web for people to see and try to get one published, sold to a none friend or family member and get some in a gallery some place.  So I hope anyone who reads this and sees the pictures i post enjoys them as mush as i did taking them.
This is the link to the photos from today.
