Hotel Phillips

Just got back from a staycation, we stayed at the Hotel Phillips I was hoping to take a few more photos then I did but there were two wedding receptions going on so lots of random people walking around but did mange to take these.

Halloween Times

I have never really been a huge fan of carving pumpkins but I have really started to enjoy Halloween times .  We spent a good time outside carving our pumpkins, and enjoying maybe one last nice weekend.  I am not sure Sarah will like the fact that I am going to post some pictures of her but it was such a nice day and Zooey makes an appearance in one of the photos.   I hope everyone has a good Halloween and a safe time out at parties or tricker treating.   

Half Marathon

It was a great day for a run, for a great reason I finished the race in 2 hours 10 minutes and 49 seconds.  The TNT group and other runners where a great help in getting me across the finish line.  Sarah took this picture of me in Westport so I thought i would post it and let you all see that I really did run and had fun so Thank you to all of you that helped me. I did have a great time.

Water on a Rose

I know it has been a while since my last post but we have been very busy, with my training for my half marathon and working on the yard and house.  The last time I was able to take some photographs was the last time it rained. Our Dream Come True rose had just opened and got a nice amount of water droplets on it.  I know that it is a reoccurring photo but I have really been loving the look of water on the flowers.
If anyone has any place or anything they would like to see on my blog just post a comment and I will do my best to get some great photos.

Nice cool day, flowers looking good

I know it has been a while since posting something new but was out with in our yard Sunday on that nice cool day and saw our new coral rose blooming so took some macro pics of it and think they turned out pretty good.  We also had some very pretty butterflies out on Sarah's flowers out front, they were very hard to get some good pictures of so this was the best one of them all.

Surprise

Got home the other day and had a nice surprise waiting in our back yard so I tried to take some night photos of it, then some the next morning to get a better view of them.

Only thing I have seen that caught my eye

I have been kind of sad this week because nothing has been very nice due to the heat so after my run on Thursday I saw this cool looking moth on our screen door so took some pictures of it.  It was not really happy when I tried to get its wings open to see the color on them which gave me these picture so hope you like it.

My reason for running

I had a talk this weekend while training for my half marathon with TNT, they asked me why I was running which for me running is no fun it is not how I want to spend my time but when my sister in law Cassie Rose talked about how much she enjoyed training with them and how much they helped her threw her event, I knew that if I did decide to run a long distance that I should join TNT. TNT which  raises money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society I had not really talked about it to anyone outside of my house which mean my wife is the only one who know that I am running for my Grandfather who passed away from lymphoma after fighting it for many year an knowing how strong he fought to see his family for a thanksgiving it has alway stuck with me and made me proud that I always try to finish what I start so I am going to finish this event.  I have also read all the information about the honor patient who is three year old and fighting ALL which stand for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and to hear how she is show stiller,that inspires me to fight as hard as I can to fight and finish my event to help any future kids and adults that have this illness.  So if anyone out side of my family and friend is reading this and can help me I am attaching the link to my fundraising page so please help me and every person that is suffering from a blood cancer.

Morning Glories

It has been so hot here the last few days I was surprised to see anything new blooming, but when I walked outside last Saturday before my TNT run and saw that our morning glories had bloomed I was very happy.  They gave me something nice to think about while I ran that day in silence to remember why I am running a half marathon to raise money for LLS and how important that is to raise money for them to find a cure.

Second trip to the arboretum/ with Phillip Jackson

I went out with Phillip and let him take some film photos for the first time. It was fun to see how much of a change it was for him to go film he keep looking at the back of the camera trying to see what he just shoot.  I really hope he got some good shots, I really enjoy film and digital makes it easy to get these kind of shots. I shot my digital here are the results hope you enjoy them, there are a lot.
